The St. Amant Wildcats Youth Football Organization was one of the first six teams that established the Southern Louisiana Youth Football Association (S. L. Y. F. A.). We are an independent, all volunteer, non-profit organization. As with other teams in S. L. Y. F. A., we raise money for our organization through gate tickets, concessions sales, traditional fund raising and donations from local sponsors. Our expenses include the following but not limited to: insurance, fees to S. L. Y. F. A., certification of coaches, trophies, banquet, parties, referee fees, jerseys, shoulder pads, helmets, football practice equipment, field maintenance, first-aid, and concession items.

Our season starts August 1st of each year and ends in the middle of November. Each organization is required to have three age grouped teams:

A Team (11 & 12 year olds)

B Team (9 & 10 year olds)

  C Team (6, 7 &8 year olds)

We also have cheerleading squads for each team. The Wildcats will provide a helmet, shoulder pads, and game jersey for use during the season. Parents must provide black football pants, black socks, 4-snap youth chinstrap, mouth pieces (not clear), and cleats.

St. Amant Wildcats practice during the week at Reynolds Lambert Park in Sorrento. Our team colors are Black & Gold. We play our home games at "The Pit" (St. Amant Gators field) which is located behind St. Amant Elementary School.
